Meadowstone Place has a great location, wonderful helpful staff and lots of friendly residents — Bob Parker
During the fall of 2002, my wife, Jean, and I started looking for a retirement community.
After looking at several places, we visited Meadowstone Place.
We were greeted and shown several apartments. Like most other people, we had
to sell our house of nearly 50 years. We kept looking at other facilities while
always keeping Meadowstone in mind. We finally decided, after our third visit, to
make this our home.
We moved here in December 2002. Amid packing boxes and all, one of the residents came to take our pictures for the community photo album.
The apartments here are larger than at most communities, and it is more like a home since we didn't have to enter from a hallway which seemed to us more like living in a hotel. And we liked living on the second floor with views of all the trees.
We made several good friends right away and always enjoyed all the activities. Trips in the bus with other residents were fun, and the meals at the clubhouse are very good.
After a few short hospital stays, Jean passed away in August 2007. The staff and friends at Meadowstone were so very helpful. It felt like a caring family atmosphere.
Then, with much help from friends and relatives, I moved to a smaller apartment in the community which I love.
All in all, I would say Meadowstone Place has a great location, wonderful helpful staff and lots of friendly residents.
