We have lived here five years. It is our home and we never intend to move!— Ron and Joanie Bucher and Schotzie

As we approached retirement age, our oldest son suggested we move from Florida to be closer to him and his family. We moved here and found jobs, but when it was time to retire for good, we began looking at retirement communities. We found it humorous that for many years mom and dad helped make decisions for our children, where to live, what car to buy, etc. And then all of a sudden, the children are telling mom and dad what to do. But when they advised us to sell our home and move to Parc Place, we took that advice and here we are. We decided they are just plain brilliant; it was the best advice we ever received from our children.

The staff at Parc Place made the move great. Laurie spent a lot of time with us and helped us find the perfect apartment. Patsy was very knowledgeable and professional and made all the paperwork understandable. Our move went as smoothly as promised with lots of help from the administration and maintenance.

After moving in, we found it so easy to meet our neighbors and make new friends. Parc Place residents are warm people and we all live here for the same reason – we're retired, want to make friends and live happily ever after.

There is always something going on – morning, noon and night. I was a professional musician for 40 years, so I started a resident-run choir. Now we have 30 members with an average age of 86, and we perform at least three programs a year – and we are really good.

If someone asked what we like best about living at Parc Place, we have to say it is the people – the residents and the staff – our family. We care and look out for each other, just as any family would do. Won't you join us?
